Thanks to everyone involved in Rugby/Touch 11.
Boosters, Athletic Council, AV and IT teams, NZ Touch officials, and our teachers at all grade levels who supported the event...thanks.
We had two very exciting finals that were witnessed by big crowds even though the weather was a little chilly.
Congrats to ISM Girls, winners of the Gold Medal for Touch Football and JIS Boys, Rugby Champions for this year.

Manila's girls made their bid for back to back titles a little stronger this afternoon with a win over the in-form Bangkok unit. It helps having IASAS's fastest girl on the team. ISB still look strong but the ISM defence took the sting out of their attack - today.
JIS are playing great team rugby. Their forwards do their jobs; the backs run hard and straight. They are clinical and would have to be the favorites as defending champions going into their fifth round robin game against the power and intensity of hosts TAS. This is a dress rehearsal for the IASAS final as both teams are undefeated to date. TAS are also a tight unit but arguably have more flair in open play.
It is going to be a great final day at IASAS Rugby/Touch 2011...don't miss it!

Touch looks to be a wide open with ISB arguably the favorites after day one. They are a dynamic team with runners that gain ground quickly through very quick play of the ball and settles that have defense struggling to retire to an on-side position. Rugby was possibly more even this year than in the past. Jakarta, the reigning champions, look strong although TAS playing in front of impressive crowds have dominated their opposition with a mix of power and speed.
It is going to be a great tournament if things continue the way they are going.
Stay tuned to our live-stream for IASAS Rugby/Touch action.
